Indias choral group bags three golds in World Choir Games Shillong Chamber Choir has earned the name of being the first Choral group from India to win three gold medals in the just-concluded World Choir Games held in China. Eighty two countries from across the globe competed in the Sixth World Choir Games, also known as 'Choir Olympics'. The 16-member Choral group from Shillong were awarded with three gold medals in three categories - music sacra (sacred music), gospel (spiritual music and popular (a medley of western and bollywood songs). The performance of a composition of medley of popular hindi songs, 'Chura Liya Hai Tumne' (Yaadon KI Baraat), 'Tu Tu Hai Wohi'(Yeh Vaada Raha) and 'Dhoom Machale' (Dhoom) with western pop music band ABBA giving an advantage for the Shillong Chamber Choir..
